JAMESTOWN, NY — A woman was arrested twice by the Jamestown Police Department on Nov. 5.

Officers responded to 315 N. Main St. at around 3:04 p.m. for a fire alarm activation.

Through investigation at the scene, police determined that Donna J. Torres intentionally pulled the fire alarm despite there being no active fire.

Torres was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

She was charged with falsely reporting an incident in the second degree and is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

This was the second time Torres was arrested that day.

She was arrested earlier in the day and charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree.

At around 11:30 a.m., Torres was at a northside business destroying merchandise while attempting to shoplift from the store.
