JAMESTOWN, NY — A woman was arrested early Wednesday after allegedly displaying a handgun during an altercation and refusing to exit her apartment.
Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon responded to an address on the city’s east side around 3 a.m. Nov. 5 for a report of a person with a weapon.
Upon arrival, officers were informed that Tammy Johnson had displayed a black handgun during an altercation with the victim.
Officers made contact with Johnson at the residence through the door, but she refused to exit the apartment.
Johnson was given several opportunities to come outside but refused all verbal commands to exit.
A search warrant was obtained and executed by the Jamestown Police Department’s SWAT team to make entry.
Johnson was taken into custody without incident.
She was transported to the Jamestown City Jail where she was charged with menacing in the second degree and resisting arrest.
Johnson was held pending arraignment.
