LEWISTON, NY — A Lockport woman faces multiple charges after allegedly giving police a false name during a traffic stop.

Barbara Rodgers, 24, of Lockport, was pulled over on Townline Road for speeding on Nov. 4, according to Lewiston police.

Police say Rodgers provided a false identity to the officer during the stop.

The false identity she gave had a suspended driver’s license, resulting in her arrest for felony aggravated unlicensed operation, police said.

After Rodgers was booked into the Niagara County Jail, authorities determined she had used a different name to avoid arrest on a misdemeanor warrant from the City of Lockport, according to police.

Rodgers was also charged with misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed operation because her own driving privileges were suspended, police said.

She faces an additional charge of second-degree criminal impersonation.

Rodgers was held for arraignment on the Lewiston charges as well as the Lockport warrant.
