JAMESTOWN, NY — A woman fled on foot from police early Tuesday morning after officers discovered she had an active warrant, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

Officers from the department’s 3rd Platoon observed a man and woman committing a traffic violation on the city’s south side at approximately 1:45 a.m. on Nov. 4.

During a street check, the woman identified herself as a person with an active city warrant.

When officers attempted to place her in custody after confirming the warrant, she ran from the scene.

After a brief foot pursuit, officers apprehended the woman and identified her as Jennifer A. Glover of Jamestown.

Police said Glover had several active warrants out of Jamestown.

A search incident to arrest revealed Glover was in possession of a quantity of fentanyl, police said.

The male subject gave officers a fake name in an effort to evade arrest on his own Jamestown warrant, according to police.

Officers identified him as Laval A. Johnson of Jamestown and took him into custody.

Glover is charged with second-degree criminal impersonation, resisting arrest, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and a traffic citation.

Johnson is charged with false personation and a traffic citation.

Both were held pending arraignment and will answer to their arrest warrants.
