Woman charged with child cruelty in Hackettstown

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — A 35-year-old woman has been charged with two counts of child cruelty following an incident at a Dunkin Donuts in September.

Magdelin Parra-Delacruz, of Hackettstown, was arrested on Oct. 27 and charged with two counts of fourth-degree cruelty and neglect of children.

Hackettstown police responded to the Dunkin Donuts at 170 Mountain Avenue at approximately 3:29 p.m. on Sept. 30 for a report of two juveniles engaged in a physical dispute.

An investigation determined that Parra-Delacruz transported a juvenile to the location, where she initiated the physical altercation between the two juveniles, according to police.

Parra-Delacruz was released pending a court appearance.
