JAMESTOWN, NY — A man was arrested early Tuesday morning after police say he assaulted a woman on the city’s Eastside.
Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon responded to a domestic incident at approximately 3:28 a.m. on Oct. 28.
After investigating, officers determined that James Leonard, 18, of Jamestown, struck a female victim in the face multiple times with his fist.
Leonard was located at his residence shortly after the incident.
He was arrested and charged with third-degree assault.
Leonard was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment.
