POTTER, NY — A Hemlock man was arrested on drunken driving charges following a motor vehicle crash Saturday evening.
Robert J. Gerlock, 35, of Hemlock, was arrested at 6:53 p.m. on State Route 247 in the Town of Potter.
Yates County deputies responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash at that location.
Upon arrival, deputies determined Gerlock was the operator of the vehicle.
Gerlock performed a series of standardized field sobriety tests and was transported to the Yates County Public Safety Building for a chemical test.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated common law, driving while intoxicated per se (.08% or greater BAC), moved from lane unsafely, speed not reasonable and prudent, and failure to notify DMV of address change.
Gerlock was released on tickets and is scheduled to answer the charges in Town of Potter Court at a later date.
