Woman charged with petit larceny in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — A store employee was arrested on a shoplifting charge at a local supermarket Oct. 23.

Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Second Platoon responded to Tops Market at 2000 Washington Street at approximately 3 p.m. for a reported shoplifting incident.

Through investigation, police determined that Jennifer L. Fordham, a store employee, had stolen merchandise from the business.

Fordham was taken into custody and charged with petit larceny.

She was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where she was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.
