HACKENSACK, NJ — A 19-year-old man has been arrested on a charge of possession of child sexual abuse material, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced.
Jonathan D. Veloz, of Hackensack, was arrested Friday following an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit.
Members of the unit executed a search warrant at Veloz’s residence Friday during an Internet child sexual abuse material investigation.
The investigation revealed that Veloz used the Internet to view, download and possess items depicting nude and sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children, according to the prosecutor’s office.
Veloz was charged with third-degree possession of child pornography.
He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court.
The Hackensack Police Department, New York City Police Department and Waldwick Police Department assisted in the investigation.
