CANAAN — Vermont State Police are searching for an 84-year-old man who was reported missing Tuesday afternoon.
Jean Claude Fauteux of Canaan was last seen around 11:30 a.m. Oct. 7 at his residence on Vermont Route 114, according to police.
Family members reported Fauteux missing at approximately 4:38 p.m.
Fauteux is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 135 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair on the back of his head while bald on top.
He is believed to be wearing black pants, black logging boots, a blue and white long-sleeve T-shirt and possibly a ball cap and glasses.
Police said there is no indication Fauteux is missing under suspicious circumstances, but there are concerns for his welfare.
