PENN YAN — Gerald H.E. Schultz, 30, of Penn Yan, was arrested by Penn Yan Police following an investigation into a burglary complaint.
Police allege that on July 27, Schultz broke into a residence in the village and stole property from inside.
Schultz then discarded some of the stolen property at another location in the village, according to police.
Schultz was charged with burglary 2nd degree, a class C felony, petit larceny and criminal trespass.
Schultz was transported to the Yates County Jail to await centralized arraignment.
