JAMESTOWN — Officers arrested three people in separate incidents over the past week involving drugs, theft and outstanding warrants.
On Aug. 19 at about 7:18 p.m., Jamestown Police Department officers and Chautauqua County Probation Officers responded to a house in the area of Stowe Street for a home visit of Robert G. Gilbert.
While checking the residence, officers located a plastic bag containing suspected drugs.
Robert was taken into custody and transported to the city jail.
The suspected drugs were tested and confirmed to be an opiate/methamphetamine compound.
Robert was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and held pending arraignment.
On Aug. 26 at 5:25 p.m., officers observed a female slumped over in the passenger seat of a parked vehicle on the north side of the city.
Officers checked on the female by knocking on the window of the vehicle.
Officers then noticed the female drop drug paraphernalia that she had in her hand.
Officers had the female exit the vehicle.
The female was identified as Kayla M. Lutgen.
Kayla was alert and coherent.
Jamestown police were advised by Ellicott police that Kayla was wanted by their agency for a larceny that occurred in the Town of Ellicott.
During the incident, officers located several items in the vehicle that were stolen from a Town of Ellicott business.
Kayla was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
On Aug. 26 at 4:23 p.m., officers observed Zachary A. Miller running into a house on the north side of the city.
Zachary was wanted on several warrants by Jamestown and Ellicott police.
Officers set a perimeter, and while doing so Zachary attempted to run out a side door.
When Zachary noticed officers he changed course and went back into the residence.
Zachary was taken into custody a short time later and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
After his arraignment in the city he will be turned over to Ellicott police to face his charges in the Town of Ellicott.
