PENN YAN — A 34-year-old Penn Yan man was arrested following a criminal mischief complaint in the village.
Aaron D. Vermilye was taken into custody by Penn Yan Police after allegedly attempting to make entry into a residence on Commercial Avenue around 2:22 a.m. Aug. 23.
Police said Vermilye was unable to gain entry to the residence and allegedly damaged several items on the exterior of the property before leaving the scene.
Vermilye was charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree.
He was released and is scheduled to appear in Penn Yan Court at a later date.
