Staten Island man arrested on drug, vehicle theft charges

STATEN ISLAND — Troopers from Troop NYC, SP Staten Island, arrested Aaron Landman on Aug. 23 on multiple drug and vehicle theft charges.

Landman faces criminal possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine in the 2nd degree, a class A felony.

He also was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree – narcotic with intent to sell, a class B felony.

Additional charges include criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a class A misdemeanor, and unauthorized use of a vehicle, a class A misdemeanor.

While patrolling westbound on the Staten Island Expressway, troopers conducted a probable cause traffic stop of a grey Nissan Sentra in the area of Exit 12.

A roadside investigation confirmed the vehicle was reported stolen from a rental company.

Landman was found to possess a large amount of methamphetamine, narcotics and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

He was transported to the NYPD 120th Precinct for processing and lodged in central booking where he awaits arraignment.
