COOPERSTOWN — The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 45-year-old Maryland, New York man on an escape charge following an incident at Bassett Medical Center on Aug. 4.
Brook C. Romano was charged with second-degree escape after attempting to flee the hospital where he was being treated for an injury sustained during an arrest in an unrelated incident, according to the sheriff’s office.
Romano was quickly apprehended and returned to custody without further incident, authorities said.
He is scheduled to appear in Town of Otsego Court at a later date.
