JAMESTOWN — Officers responded to a domestic incident on the north side of the city around 6 p.m. Aug. 16.
Police said Hashaun L. Leeper Sr. became disorderly and punched one victim in the head while holding a pocket knife in the same hand.
Leeper then tackled the victim while still holding the knife, according to police.
The victim sustained multiple lacerations and a stab wound during the altercation.
Police said Leeper attempted to pour gasoline on another victim who was holding a 1-year-old child.
Leeper was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City jail.
He was charged with second-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
Leeper was held in the city jail pending arraignment.
