MARIETTA — The Marcellus Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a vehicle and utility pole on Marietta Road near Sevier Road at 9:57 a.m.
Marcellus Rescue 1, Car 1, Car 2 and Fire Police were dispatched to the scene.
Chief Rothery in Car 1 arrived to find a vehicle that had driven through a pole and landed in a ditch with live electrical wires down.
Assistant Chief Mayers responded in Car 2, while FF Card operated Rescue 1.
Marcellus Ambulance provided patient care at the scene.
NYSEG was contacted to address the downed power lines.
Rescue 1’s crew and fire police assisted with traffic control during the incident.
