ST. JOHNSBURY — Four people were arrested Monday following a search warrant execution on Higgins Hill Road as part of a months-long drug investigation.
The Vermont Drug Task Force and Vermont State Police Tactical Service Unit arrested Andy Dwyer, 38, of St. Johnsbury; Amber Wood, 30, of St. Johnsbury; Kamrim McKain, 23, of Hartford, Connecticut; and William Mitchell, 59, of St. Johnsbury on narcotics-related charges.
The arrests stemmed from an investigation by Vermont Drug Task Force detectives into cocaine distribution in Orleans, Lamoille and Caledonia counties.
Dwyer faces charges of sale of cocaine and three counts of accessory aiding in commission of a felony.
Wood is charged with sale of cocaine and two counts of accessory aiding in commission of a felony.
McKain faces four counts of sale of cocaine.
Mitchell is charged with sale of cocaine.
Suspected narcotics and firearms were recovered during the search.
McKain was ordered held on $100,000 bail at Northeast Correctional Complex.
Dwyer and Wood were each ordered held on $50,000 bail at Northeast Correctional Complex.
Mitchell was released on citation.
McKain, Dwyer and Wood are scheduled to appear at 1 p.m. Wednesday before Vermont Superior Court, Caledonia Criminal Division.
Mitchell is scheduled to appear at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 3 before Vermont Superior Court, Caledonia Criminal Division.
McKain is being prosecuted by the Orleans and Caledonia County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Dwyer, Wood and Mitchell are being prosecuted by the Caledonia County State’s Attorney’s Office.
The Vermont Drug Task Force was assisted by Vermont State Police, Morristown Police Department, St. Albans Police Department, St. Johnsbury Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Franklin County Sheriff’s Department.
