LYNBROOK — Police are searching for a gunman who shot a victim on a Long Island Rail Road platform Saturday evening.
The shooting occurred at 7:55 p.m. Aug. 9 on Platform B at the LIRR Lynbrook Train Station.
The suspect, described as a Black male approximately 20 years old, intentionally discharged a firearm at the victim and struck him, according to MTA Police.
After the shooting, the suspect ran westbound on the platform before fleeing down the middle staircase and running southbound across Sunrise Highway.
Police consider the suspect armed and dangerous.
