JAMESTOWN — Two adults were arrested early Monday morning after police discovered three children living in deplorable conditions during a domestic dispute call.
Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd platoon responded to a west side address around 1 a.m. Aug. 5 for a report of a domestic dispute.
Through investigation, police discovered that Ethan A. Crichton and Christine L. Weise were allowing children ages 14, 13 and 10 to live in deplorable conditions.
The home showed a buildup of clutter, mold inside the kitchen and refrigerator, and an abundance of human and animal feces inside all rooms, including on the walls.
Crichton and Weise were both taken into custody and transported to the city jail.
The children were removed from the home and Child Protective Services was notified of the incident.
Both subjects are being charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and were held pending arraignment.
In a separate incident, officers patrolling the east side of the city around 3:30 a.m. Aug. 5 observed a male subject looking inside windows of parked cars on Spring Street near Love Elementary School.
Officers initiated a street check for a suspicious person and attempted to make contact when the suspect fled on a bicycle.
A brief foot pursuit began and Brayden L. Pratt was taken into custody without incident.
Pratt was transported to the city jail where he was booked and released with an appearance ticket.
Pratt is being charged with resisting arrest and was also issued a traffic citation.
