ALBANY — Officers observed multiple vehicles engaged in high-speed racing on Washington Avenue Extension near Route 155 around 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
Traffic stops were conducted, resulting in the arrest of two individuals in connection with illegal racing.
Both vehicles were impounded as evidence.
Nathan Wood, 25, of Albany has been charged with one count of illegal speed contest and one count of speed not reasonable and prudent.
Preston O’Neil, 18, of Nassau has been charged with one count of illegal speed contest and one count of speed not reasonable and prudent.
Both Wood and O’Neil were given appearance tickets and will appear in court at a later date.
