SOUTH WINDSOR — Police arrested two men on multiple charges this week, including drug possession and assault.

On Wednesday at 5:04 a.m., South Windsor police arrested Jeremy C. Broad, 44, of South Windsor, after bail enforcement agents brought him to police headquarters on three active failure to appear warrants.

During a search, officers found 11 wax folds containing suspected fentanyl, a broken glass pipe and hypodermic needles on Broad’s person.

Broad faces a reckless endangerment charge after officers asked if he had anything in his pockets that could harm them and he said no, despite carrying illegal drugs and paraphernalia.

He was held on $475,000 total bond and was scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court Wednesday morning at 9 a.m.

On Tuesday at 11:50 a.m., police arrested Paul Lawrence, 57, of East Hartford, on two active arrest warrants.

Lawrence’s assault charge stems from a June domestic violence incident in which he grabbed a female victim’s hair and hit her several times on the side of the head with a closed fist, causing injury.

His breach of peace charge resulted from an attempted attack on a store clerk at the Exxon gas station at 5 John Fitch Boulevard on the same date.

Lawrence turned himself in and was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

He was scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court Wednesday at 9 a.m.
