Fairfax man charged with felonies after Marshfield crash

MARSHFIELD — Vermont State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on US Route 2 at approximately 9:29 a.m. July 18.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Travis Dashnow, 41, of Fairfax, was traveling northbound on US Route 2 when it collided with a stationary vehicle.

Troopers observed indicators of impairment while speaking with Dashnow at the scene.

Dashnow was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and transported to the Berlin Barracks for processing.

Troopers obtained and were granted a search warrant authorizing the collection of a blood sample from Dashnow.

Dashnow refused to comply with the terms of the court-authorized warrant.

He was issued a citation to appear in Washington County Superior Court – Criminal Division on Aug. 28 at 8:30 a.m.

Dashnow faces charges of obstruction of justice, impeding public officers and gross negligent operation.
