SOUTHINGTON — A Bloomfield man was arrested Tuesday on charges connected to a June 19 robbery at a CVS pharmacy on Main Street.

Rashaun A. Jeffers, 32, was taken into custody at New Britain Superior Court while attending a hearing for unrelated charges.

Police arrested Jeffers on an active warrant and transported him to Southington Police Headquarters.

He was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery in the second degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the third degree.

The charges stem from a strong-arm robbery that occurred at CVS at 326 Main Street on June 19.

Police said their investigation positively identified Jeffers in connection with the robbery.

Jeffers was released after posting a $50,000 cash or surety bond.

He is scheduled to appear at New Britain Superior Court on July 29.
