ST. JOHNSBURY — A 47-year-old man from Brownington was arrested for his second DUI following an incident in St. Johnsbury yesterday.
Police say they observed a motorist commit a moving violation while patrolling the area of Old Center Road and Hospital Drive at around 9:30 p.m.
Police initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as David Sanville.
Police say that Sanville was in possession of several open containers of alcoholic beverages inside the vehicle, and found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcoholic beverages.
He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Johnsbury barracks for processing before being released to a sober adult.
