NEWPORT –– North Country Hospital recently announced that Kyle Kovacevich is now North Country’s CFO. Kyle graduated from Texas A&M with a BBA in Finance, and then in 2016 he completed a Master’s of Business Administration – Finance from the University of North Texas in Denton.
He most recently came from a CFO/Risk Officer position at Black River Memorial Hospital (critical access) in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. Finding a need for more accounting expertise, he obtained a second bachelor’s degree in accounting from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City in 2020. Kyle has extensive finance experience working for large health systems, but he definitely prefers rural health and is happy to be settling into Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom.
North Country Surgical Welcomes Omar El-Ghazzawy, DO
Dr. El-Ghazzawy was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. When it came time to go to university, he left Minnesota and attended McGill University in Montreal. At McGill, he graduated with a degree in Marketing/Entrepreneurship.
He was then accepted at Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific and headed to Pomona, California for Medical School.
Dr. El-Ghazzawy found a passion for medicine on his first rotation, which was General Surgery. His General Surgery residency was accomplished at the Cleveland Clinic – South Pointe, July 2018-July 2023. He is now on our general surgery team at North Country Hospital, joining Dr. Matthew Kelley, Dr. Mark Crane, and Dr. Larry Sisson.
