Woman arrested for assault in Derby

DERBY — A 25-year-old woman was arrested following an incident in Derby on Tuesday.

Authorities say they were notified of a dispute at the Price Chopper parking lot at around 8:30 p.m.

Police allege that Alexis Lantagne, of Newport Center, caused injury to an individual she had a previous relationship with, as well as injury to a second person.

Police say Lantagne also used obscene language in a public place while engaging in fighting and tumultuous conduct directed at the two individuals.

Lantagne was arrested and transported to the Derby barracks for processing.

She was released with a citation and conditions of release and will appear in court today to answer to charges of domestic assault, simple assault, and aggravated disorderly conduct.
