PENN YAN, NY — A Canandaigua man was arrested after an investigation into a stolen boom lift found at a residence in the town of Middlesex.

Matthew Gullace, 53, of Canandaigua, was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree, a class D felony.

On June 26, Yates County deputies were notified by a Home Depot store in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, that a 35-foot boom lift belonging to the store was located at a residence in Middlesex.

An investigation determined Gullace was in possession of the equipment, which had been reported stolen in Pennsylvania on June 19.

Gullace was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Middlesex Court at a later date.
