ALBANY, NY — Police are investigating a shooting that injured an 18-year-old male Wednesday afternoon.
Officers responded to a residence on the 100 block of Benson Street near Erie Street around 3:05 p.m. for reports of a person shot.
The victim was found with a gunshot wound to his leg.
He was treated by the Albany Fire Department and emergency medical personnel and taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation.
