HAZLETON, PA — A 52-year-old man is wanted on felony charges of theft by deception and diversion of services after accepting $7,000 in cash at his business, 3B Auto Sales, under an agreement to provide a Subaru to a victim.

Daniel Irizarry, of Hazleton, failed to provide the agreed-upon vehicle over nearly four months.

The victim approached Irizarry for a refund, but he admitted to using the money to purchase another vehicle, according to police.

Hazleton Police Detectives contacted Irizarry and gave him the opportunity to return the money without charges, but he declined and accused officers of being “fake.”

A felony warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Irizarry is now in custody, police said.
