Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence on West Lake Road in the Town of Geneseo at approximately 1:22 p.m. for a reported domestic incident.

David Skeldon, 44, of Fairport, allegedly got into a physical altercation with an individual while at the residence, according to Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty.

The alleged acts occurred while an active “Refrain From” Order of Protection was in place, protecting the individual from Skeldon, making the arrest a felony.

Skeldon was transported to the Livingston County Jail for arrest processing and pre-arraignment detention.

He was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part at the Livingston County Jail before Town of Lima Justice Huff.

The District Attorney’s Office recommended that Skeldon be released upon his own recognizance with a “Stay Away” Order of Protection issued.

The judge followed the recommendation and released Skeldon on his own recognizance with a new “Stay Away” Order of Protection issued.

The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office represented Skeldon at the court arraignment.
