FERRISBURGH, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a 45-year-old man on domestic assault charges following a reported family fight Saturday evening.
Troopers responded to a residence on Monkton Road at approximately 7:08 p.m. for a reported family fight.
Upon arrival, police spoke with both individuals on scene and determined that Daren Austin, of Ferrisburgh, caused bodily injury to a household member.
Austin was taken into custody and transported to the New Haven Barracks for processing.
He was subsequently lodged at the Marble Valley Correctional Facility.
Austin is charged with first degree aggravated domestic assault and offense committed in the presence of a child.
He is scheduled to appear in Addison County Superior Court Criminal Division on July 6 at 12:30 p.m.
