Man wanted on drug charges in Stroudsburg

STROUDSBURG, PA — Police have issued an arrest warrant for a Pennsylvania man accused of possessing crack cocaine and marijuana.

Randolph McCoy, 49, of Pennsylvania, faces charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Stroud Area Regional Police were dispatched to a suspicious call at an abandoned residence on Thomas Street on Jan. 5 at 11:55 a.m.

Officers observed a male outside the residence who discarded a translucent material before walking toward police.

The man was identified as McCoy.

Police searched the area where the item was discarded and found a small plastic baggie that was ripped at one end and tied at the other with contents appearing to be crack cocaine.

McCoy was taken into custody.

A search incident to arrest located a marijuana cigarette in his shirt pocket.

Police also found a single razor blade, a pack of rolling papers and a THC flower baggie, which were all seized.

McCoy was transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility for processing.

The suspected cocaine and marijuana were sent to the Pennsylvania State Police Lab for testing.

The substances tested positive for cocaine and marijuana, which are both controlled substances.

Charges were filed and an arrest warrant was issued by Magisterial District Judge Gasper on June 11.
