DUNDEE, NY — A Himrod man faces felony DWI charges following a domestic incident in which a woman jumped from a moving vehicle.
Michael R. Hill, 38, of Himrod, was arrested at 10:26 p.m. June 28 on Water Street in the Village of Dundee.
Yates County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a woman who had jumped from a moving vehicle and was injured.
Deputies found the woman in the roadway with serious injuries.
During the investigation, deputies determined the woman and Hill, who was driving, had engaged in a verbal domestic dispute before the woman jumped from the vehicle.
Hill showed signs of impairment during the investigation, according to deputies.
Hill was administered standardized field sobriety tests and subsequently arrested.
He was charged with felony DWI common law and felony DWI with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or greater.
Dundee Ambulance and Mercy Flight responded to the scene.
