5 juveniles arrested on larceny charges in Fayetteville, Manlius

FAYETTEVILLE, NY — Five juveniles from Syracuse were arrested on multiple charges after police linked them to thefts at a car dealership and a grocery store.

Members of the Town of Manlius Police Department responded to Romano Chrysler Jeep dealership at 215 W. Genesee St. on the morning of June 28, 2026, for an investigation.

Officers discovered that approximately 16 customer vehicles parked at the dealership had been entered overnight and appeared to have had property stolen from inside.

At least one vehicle was damaged after a hammer was thrown through a side window.

Officers discovered surveillance camera footage from multiple sources showing five suspects at the dealership during the incident.

At approximately 1:09 p.m., officers were dispatched to Tops Friendly Markets at 350 Towne Drive in the Town of Manlius for a report of juveniles stealing merchandise from the store.

Officers responded and made contact with the juveniles and placed them under arrest.

During the arrest, officers recovered stolen store merchandise as well as multiple items that appeared to have been stolen from the cars parked at the Romano dealership earlier in the day, including keys, tools and other items.

Five juveniles, all from Syracuse, between the ages of 14 and 17, have been charged with multiple counts of petit larceny, conspiracy in the sixth degree and criminal mischief in the third degree.

They were processed and released to family members with appearance tickets due at the Onondaga County Probation Department and the Onondaga County Youth Part Court.
