HARTFORD, CT — Police are investigating a shooting that left a woman injured on Main Street.
Hartford Police officers responded to the area of 1545 Main Street following a ShotSpotter notification.
Upon arrival, officers located a victim of gunfire.
The victim, a woman in her thirties, sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was transported by EMS to an area hospital for treatment.
Preliminary investigation indicates the victim was operating her vehicle at the time of the shooting and was likely not the intended target.
The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions responded and have assumed the investigation.
