NORTH PROVIDENCE, RI — Members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested a North Providence man Thursday on a felony assault charge.
Antonio Rivera, 32, of North Providence, was taken into custody without incident on an arrest warrant from the Providence Police Department.
Rivera was charged with felony assault on a non-family member involving a stabbing.
He was turned over to members of the Providence Police Department on scene.
In a separate incident Thursday, members of the Auto Theft Task Force, Intelligence Unit, and Trooper Jerrick arrested Dominique T. Pina, 37, of Johnston, on forgery and counterfeiting charges.
Pina was charged with forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates.
Pina was transported to headquarters, processed, and later transported to 3rd District Court for arraignment.
Also Thursday, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested William Hudgins, 37, of Providence, on a child pornography charge.
Hudgins was charged with possession of child pornography.
He was transported to the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and transported to Sixth Division District Court.
Hudgins was arraigned before Judge Stephen M. Isherwood, where bail was set at $5,000 with surety, with special conditions of limited internet access and no intentional contact with minors.
Hudgins was then presented as a violator in Superior Court and remanded to the Adult Correctional Institution.
