SOUTH BURLINGTON, VT — A Waterbury man was arrested on a DUI charge early Tuesday morning after troopers responded to a broken-down vehicle on Interstate 89 North.
Troopers with the Vermont State Police – Williston were notified at 2:14 a.m. of a motor vehicle broken down near mile marker 87.2 on Interstate 89 North in South Burlington.
Troopers arrived on scene and made contact with the operator of the vehicle.
Throughout the interaction, the operator, Ian Rossi, 24, of Waterbury, was displaying signs of impairment.
After investigation, Rossi was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
Rossi was transported to the Williston State Police Barracks for processing and ultimately issued a citation for DUI – refusal and released.
