Teen shot in Hartford

HARTFORD, CT — Police are investigating a shooting that left a 17-year-old male injured Monday.

Hartford Police officers responded to the area of 214 Westland Street following a ShotSpotter notification.

Upon arrival, officers located evidence of gunfire.

While officers were on scene investigating, an area hospital reported a walk-in gunshot victim arriving for treatment.

The victim sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and is listed in stable condition.

The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions responded and have assumed the investigation.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
