BROOKFIELD, CT — The Brookfield Police Department discovered a person dead at the scene of an ATV crash late Friday night.
Police received a report of a missing person at 11:08 p.m. June 26.
A subsequent search of the area by officers led to the discovery of an ATV off the roadway and in the woods in the area of 52 Candlewood Shores Road.
Police and EMS determined that the sole occupant of the ATV was deceased at the scene.
The investigation remains open and is being conducted by the Brookfield Accident Investigation Team.
