PREBLE, NY — Authorities responded to a structure fire at a mobile home park early Saturday morning.
Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Mountainview Trailer Park on State Route 281 at approximately 4:30 a.m. June 26, 2026.
Upon arrival, officers found heavy fire at the rear of one of the residences.
Officers assisted occupants with evacuating the trailer before firefighters arrived.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze after arriving on scene.
No injuries were reported in the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Preble Fire Department, Homer Fire Department, Cortlandville Fire Department, Apulia Fire Department, Spafford Fire Department and TLC Ambulance.
The New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services Fire Investigation Team is assisting with the investigation.
