VERNON, VT — Vermont State Police cited a man for unlawful trespass after he allegedly attempted to enter a restricted area at a hydroelectric dam.
Police received a report at 12:09 p.m. June 26, 2026, of a male trying to get under the fence at Vernon Hydroelectric Dam on Governor Hunt Road.
When troopers arrived on scene, an investigation revealed Lee M. Griffin, 44, of Vernon, had entered private property after previously being trespassed from the location.
Griffin was cited to appear before the Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on Aug. 25, 2026, at 8:30 a.m., to answer to the charge of unlawful trespass.
