Woman arrested after disturbance in Central Bridge

CENTRAL BRIDGE, NY — A Middleburgh woman faces a felony charge after authorities say she attempted to strike someone with a vehicle during a dispute.

Members of the Schoharie County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of South Main Street and Church Street in the hamlet of Central Bridge, Town of Schoharie, at approximately 8:18 p.m. June 23, 2026, for a reported physical altercation involving multiple individuals.

Initial reports indicated that two females had been involved in a dispute and that one of the parties had allegedly attempted to strike another individual with a vehicle.

Upon arrival, responding deputies observed several individuals gathered in the roadway on South Main Street and located a vehicle that had come to rest partially on the porch of a nearby residence.

Deputies also observed an individual in front of the vehicle who appeared to have sustained facial injuries.

Following an investigation, Brandy Jesmain, 34, of Middleburgh, was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment in the first degree, a class D felony.

Jesmain was processed on the charge and transported to the Centralized Arraignment Part Court for arraignment.

The Schoharie County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by members of the New York State Police and the Schoharie Village Police Department.
