Missing woman found safe in Plattsburgh

PLATTSBURGH, NY — A missing 60-year-old woman and her dog have been found safe, authorities announced.

Beth Gebo and her dog, Sadie, have been located and are both in good health, according to the Plattsburgh Police Department and the New York State Police.

Gebo was last seen traveling north on South Catherine Street in Plattsburgh on June 22, 2026, at approximately 5 a.m.

She was accompanied by her brown and white Catahoula leopard dog and was pushing a wagon.

Gebo, who is described as approximately 5 feet tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds, has mobility issues.

She is employed at Walmart in Plattsburgh and had not reported to work for three days prior to being found, which authorities said was out of character.

The Plattsburgh Police Department, New York State Police and assisting agencies thanked the community, media partners and everyone who shared information and assisted in the search efforts.
