HARTFORD, CT — Police are investigating a shooting that sent an 18-year-old man to the hospital Tuesday.
Officers responded to the area of 116 Brook Street following a report of shots fired.
A ShotSpotter activation also alerted officers to the presence of gunfire in the area.
Upon arrival, officers located evidence of gunfire.
While officers were on scene investigating, an area hospital reported a walk-in gunshot victim arriving for treatment.
The victim, an 18-year-old male, was alert and conscious upon arrival at the hospital.
The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions responded and have assumed the investigation.
