BANGOR, ME — The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office has identified an inmate who died at the county jail on June 20, 2026.
The deceased has been identified as Jodi Melanson, 39, of Eastport.
The Bangor Police Department is investigating the death.
Medical examiner reports, Department of Corrections reports and testing results remain pending.
