AUBURN, NY — A man was arrested on felony and misdemeanor charges following a domestic incident at a townhouse complex.
Members of the Auburn Police Department were dispatched to 101 Quill Ave. Oak Creek Townhouses at approximately 10:48 a.m. June 21 for a reported domestic incident with injuries.
Officers investigated and learned there was an altercation between two females when Anthony J. Stokes Sr., 31, of Auburn, became involved in the altercation.
Police said Stokes grabbed the victim and threw her to the ground.
Stokes also allegedly pushed the victim against his vehicle and hit her head against his vehicle.
The victim sustained injuries as a result of Stokes’ actions.
The victim is the protected person in a stay away order of protection against Stokes.
A child common to both Stokes and the victim witnessed the incident.
Stokes was arrested and charged with aggravated criminal contempt, a felony, assault in the third degree, a misdemeanor, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
He was processed and transported to the Cayuga County Jail, where he was held pending arraignment.
