Woman cited for possession of stolen property in Williamstown

WILLIAMSTOWN, VT — Vermont State Police received a report of a stolen vehicle from a residence on Vermont Route 64 on June 21, 2026 at 10:53 p.m.

The vehicle was identified as a Ford EcoSport bearing Vermont registration KVS143.

The vehicle was later located in South Barre.

Victoria Stauff, 27, of Barre, was found to be in possession of stolen property while police were on scene.

Stauff was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court-Orange Criminal Division on July 29, 2026 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charge.

The victim was identified as Douglas Batchelder, 47, of Williamstown.
