SWISSVALE, PA — Allegheny County Police have charged two people in connection with an armed carjacking on June 6.
The Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit was requested to investigate an armed carjacking and subsequent vehicle crash in Swissvale.
Detectives determined an adult male was in his vehicle leaving work in the 7500 block of Dickson Street when a male suspect approached with a firearm.
The suspect robbed the victim of multiple belongings and forced him to walk to the other side of the parking lot.
A female suspect then entered the parking lot and the two suspects entered the victim’s vehicle and drove away.
While fleeing the area, the suspects collided with another vehicle at the intersection of South Braddock Avenue and Roslyn Street.
Both suspects fled the scene on foot.
Through evidence recovered at the crash scene, detectives were able to identify the male suspect as Evan Jackson, 19, and the female suspect as Kiara Williams, 19.
Jackson is facing multiple charges including robbery, robbery of a motor vehicle, carrying a firearm without a license, and persons not to possess a firearm.
Williams is charged with criminal conspiracy and accidents involving damage to attended vehicle or property.
