Man arrested on DUI charge in Berlin

BERLIN, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a Montpelier man on drunken driving charges after responding to a report of a disabled vehicle on Interstate 89 North.

Joseph F. Henry, 38, of Montpelier, was taken into custody at approximately 2:33 p.m. June 23, 2026, near Mile Marker 46.6.

Troopers from the Berlin Barracks responded to the scene after receiving a report of a disabled vehicle.

An investigation revealed Henry was operating his motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol, according to police.

Henry was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, second offense, and providing false information to a police officer.

He was transported to the Berlin Barracks for processing.

Henry was released with a criminal citation and is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Washington Unit, Criminal Division on July 9, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
